Matchday Program: Oaklyn United FC vs. Real Central NJ
October 29, 2023 - Official Digital Program
Welcome to our brand new digital program!
If you’re reading this, you are part of the most exciting level of soccer in America today - grassroots! As a true community club founded right here in Camden County, Oaklyn United is proud to sit on the forefront of the pre-professional soccer world.
We were built by players who wanted to establish a bridge between the recreational level and the game’s highest rungs. Now in our sixth year of operation and third season in the promotion/relegation-focused EPSL, I’m proud to say that we are accomplishing that mission.
This new digital program is one way for us to bring even more fans into the world of Oaklyn United. In other parts of the world, like the United Kingdom, local lower-tier clubs are a bedrock of their communities. It’s not uncommon for fans to “support their local” alongside their major league clubs of choice, and a night out at the neighborhood stadium is a typical way for people to come together.
Now that you’re helping to build this culture along with us here in the States, I hope you’ll read on and enjoy all the content here in the program. Grab some official OUFC gear so everyone knows you’re a Lion. And please patronize our sponsors - they make this thing of ours possible, full stop.
Up The Lions,
Alex Lewis

Tonight’s Opponent: Real Central NJ
The Oaklyn United Nor’Easters will play their final home game of the fall season against our NJ rivals, Real Central.
The fixture against RCNJ has become a true derby with both teams experiencing success in the conference’s first three season. RCNJ also boasts a USL2 franchise and a reserve team that competes in the Garden State Soccer League. The northernmost representative of the Delaware River division, they play their home matches at Mercer County College.
Both teams enter this match with identical 1-2-2 records and are seeking a crucial win before the final weeks of the Fall. Oaklyn has had the better of recent encounters, defeating RCNJ 3-1 last fall and drawing them 1-1 at home in the Spring.

Meet the Squad - Player Profile
Ahmed Saidi
What’s your name and your hometown?
My name is Ahmed Saidi. I grew up in Cherry Hill, NJ.
How did you make your way to Oaklyn United FC?
I had been hearing about Oaklyn United for some time. After a season with Inter NJ, I was looking for a new challenge and a friend of mine told me that Oaklyn had a great project and that I could be an important part of it.
I thought it was a great opportunity and decided to reach out. Not long after contacting the club president and learning how ambitious and hungry this club is for success, I knew that I needed to join.
What’s your favorite memory as a Lion?
There are so many great memories, but if I had to choose one it would probably be my first game as an OUFC player. I think playing our first game as a team and getting the win was something that was incredibly special to me. Winning the playoff championship was another great moment.
What are you currently watching?
Lately I’ve been watching a lot of Guy Ritchie films like Snatch, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, and The Gentleman. As for TV shows, I’m currently rewatching The Sopranos which is something I do annually.
Messi or Ronaldo?
Messi. If you understand soccer/football it’s quite simple. The debate has been over since 2009.
Which football boots do you wear?
I am currently wearing the Nike Zoom Vapor 15.
Favorite non-football activity?
I really enjoy hiking and making/drinking coffee.
What are your goals for this season?
My goal is to win every competition we compete in, and have an important role in the squad by working hard and contributing on both offense and defense.

OUFC Announces New Name for EPSL Squad: Oaklyn United Nor’Easters
From Oaklyn United FC | September 8, 2023
Oaklyn United have announced that the club’s EPSL team will compete as the Oaklyn United Nor’Easters for the 2023/24 season, furthering its affiliation with the Ocean City Nor’Easters of the USL2.
The OUFCxNE squad completes the Oaklyn United club structure which also features Oaklyn United FC, the club’s recreational CASA team, and Oaklyn United Pride, its CASA reserves.
Last season, leadership of both OUFC and Nor’Easters announced an official partnership that made Oaklyn the development team for the Nor’Easters. In its first half-season, the partnership proved fruitful. Some 13 OUFC players made appearances for the Nor’Easters first, reserve, or U23 teams. And OUFC’s league play provided an important development channel for the Nor’Easters US Open Cup squad. Lions regulars including Brady Hochman, Parker Solowey, Osman Barrie, Dan Tittelmayer, Simba Mazarura, Farid Mancilla, and Powell Schneider all made appearances in the Nor’Easters first and second round USOC matches against West Chester United (USL2) and the Maryland Bobcats (NISA), respectively.
Oaklyn United FC were crowned champions of the Eastern Premier Soccer League’s Delaware River Conference playoff tournament after defeating defending champions Salone FC by a score of 4-1 on Sunday night.
The South Jersey side found goals from Andrew Kitch, Nico Rubio, Colin Veltri and Leo D’Ambrosio while Salone’s was scored by Kabine Conde. Oaklyn’s victory will see them travel to represent the conference against the EPSL’s other divisional winners in the league wide championship finals in Virginia later this month.
Both clubs arrived at the championship final at Temple University on the backs of identical 5-0 wins in the semifinal round. Salone made short work of regular season table toppers Philadelphia Heritage SC while Oaklyn dispatched Philadelphia Soccer Club.
The opening goal arrived in the 11th minute and somewhat against the run of play as Salone had enjoyed more chances and shots up until that point. Conde had tested Oaklyn netminder Brady Hochman just minutes into the match and Oaklyn were struggling to keep the ball against the Salone press. But midfielder Nico Rubio eventually created the breakthrough when he won the ball off a Salone defender in the six yard box and pulled it back for striker Andrew Kitch to score from close range.

From Ocean City Nor’Easters | March 28, 2023 | Read full story →
Today, the Ocean City Nor'easters and Oaklyn United FC are announcing a partnership between the clubs that sees Oaklyn become an official development team for the Nor'easters.
The Nor'easters are one of the winningest and most storied clubs in American grassroots soccer history. Founded in 1996 under the leadership of President Giancarlo Granese, Sr., the Storm count more than 110 professional players in their alumni ranks including 33 MLS draft picks. Currently competing in USL League Two (the fourth tier of the US soccer pyramid) they remain a divisional powerhouse, winning the Mid-Atlantic Division title in 2022 with an undefeated 11-0-3 record. They boast the fifth-most wins in the history of the league.
Oaklyn United FC is a grassroots community soccer club based in Camden County, N.J. with a player footprint that spans the greater Philadelphia area. Founded in 2018 as a recreational team, the club has become the area's fastest growing lower-league organization and now competes at the elite amateur level in the Eastern Premier Soccer League (EPSL). The EPSL is a USASA-sanctioned amateur “super league” that features teams from New England all the way down to Virginia. Clubs that finish top of the EPSL can optionally promote into the fully professional National Independent Soccer Association (NISA) system.
